Byukgye Island

The tall islands, verdant trees, and clear ponds make for a magnificent, almost mystical view...but the sounds that arise from this place are another matter. The scholars studying the teachings of Byukgye reside here, and they are taught to raise their voices aggressively for the sake of the people. Loud noises fill the air even when everyone else is asleep. The shouting is so intense, people regard the Byukgye Institute to be even noisier than the Nampo Marketplace, and the loudest in Donghae Province.
