Orze's Records #10: A Child of Closed Doors

The next time I encountered Vaha was when Yolu and I were touring the training grounds. He was organizing heavy weaponry with a diligence that seemed as steadfast as a huge rock, silently holding his ground. Yolu whispered softly. "He's the Dehkima our master trusts the most. He always completes tasks perfectly. But he always works so hard on his own... don't you think it's a bit sad?" I looked closely at Vaha's face. Despite the master's praises, he only nodded with a calm expression. Yet, his eyes seemed heavy and hollow, as if suppressing something. They definitely had the look of someone coveting something. Vaha paused his work, sensing our gaze, and raised his head. He gave Yolu a brief but warm smile, like sunlight glinting off a tranquil lake. However, the smile was fleeting. His expression soon hardened as he returned to lifting the heavy weaponry.
