In the Land of the Morning Light, horse riding is a privilege of the nobility, leaving the lower classes to operate rickshaws for their livelihood. Scholars of Cheongsan Institute are known to avoid any physical labor, so residents of the hamlet have to pull these rickshaws dozens of times a day.
