Wisdom of the Jangdok

A jangdok is a pot that contains sauces or pickled vegetables. In the Land of the Morning Light, people tend to take their sauces particularly seriously. For example, there is a saying that goes "a house's rise and fall can be told by its sauces." Paper is used on the pots to reduce moisture and prevent bug infestation, and the pots are placed in a way that allows easy drainage of water.
