Her whole family perished due to the Black Death and she found herself working as a maid for the royal family. Despite her job she still possessed a strong desire to study and has become quite knowledgeable as a result. She considers dignity and sophistication to be virtues and puts value in maintaining the appearance of someone from the upper class. The only person who makes her nervous is the ill-mannered Jarette.
