Meal Under the Persimmon Tree

This is the renowned tavern of the village. Among its many charms, the bench beneath the persimmon tree is never empty. It is the only shaded spot in the tavern, and the owner has declared that whoever sits there owns any persimmons that fall. However, come autumn, when the persimmons ripen and soften, they occasionally drop onto the heads of those seated below, leaving them covered in the fruit's mush.
