Scouting Log - Entry Three We discovered a dark cave. With our current equipment, a full investigation is impossible, so I ordered the rookie to plant a torch for the next scouting team. Even after a long wait, he never returned. It turns out he simply wedged the torch into place and spent the rest of the time staring out at the sea. As usual, I had to finish the task myself. He reminds me far too much of my younger self. When I see the fear in his face, it feels like staring into a mirror. If I keep indulging that weakness, he'll get me killed. Just like I once did. - A seasoned Hashashin
