Did they ever see the waters that once surged through this place? Nothing remains now, not even a trace of their former vigor. Recent events must be the cause. Explosions echo across the mountains, and the Hashashin move in unsettling patterns. If this continues, I may not be able to pursue these clues much longer. If danger overtakes me, I will hide in the cave I discovered earlier. I am not yet ready to abandon the faint hope that something still remains.
