Nella Encarotia

The niece of Enrique Encarotia, the leader of the Xian Merchant Guild. Though House Encarotia doesn't have an aristocratic heritage, Enrique wants Nella to be taught the sensibilities and ways of the noble class so that she might be accepted as one of them. That's why he sent Nella to college at great expense. Nella, however, wants to become the greatest merchant in the city, like her uncle.
