Mileposts on the Desert

The biggest obstacle for the merchant guilds of Valencia is the desert. Even the most experienced of the veterans can fall helpless in front of a sandstorm. Some guilds even tried to set mileposts in the desert with wooden pillars, but their efforts always end up in vain as the constantly shifting sand dunes easily erase the existence of the posts.
