Black Death

An infectious disease called the Black Death, which was brought by merchants who traveled back and forth to Valencia across the desert, took the lives of half the population of the Western Continent. This terrible disease rotted black the flesh of its victims without mercy or exception, attacking royalty, high nobility and the lowly of station with equal ferocity.
