Neruda Shen's emergence as the real power of Altinova only cemented the loss of any political standing of Bareeds III, who the public had already viewed in negative sentiment due to his royal household's history of tyranny. In the end, Bareeds III was treated as bait unworthy of even being placed upon a fishing hook.
