Marumin's Day

The tradition in Valencia of flying lanterns to wish for abundance has been adopted into becoming a Marumin's Day tradition. Marumin's Day is celebrated mainly to commemorate the achievements of Marumin, the greatest queen in Valencian history. For some people, however, it is also an occasion to remember lost loved ones.
