Sandfish

This fish spends most of its time with part of its body buried in the ocean floor, primarily feeding on small shrimps, squids, and seaweed. As late autumn approaches, the fish fattens up in preparation for spawning, making this season the ideal time for fishing. Particularly prized among epicureans is the female fish, which becomes a highly sought-after delicacy when filled with eggs just before spawning.
