Shuttles Hoppfish

The species exhibits a relatively large head, with its body tapering to a flattened form towards the posterior. Its eyes are prominently bulging and situated close together. It inhabits the muddy substrates of coastal areas or estuarine environments. Utilizing its pectoral fins, it navigates the mudflat by hopping, preying on small crustaceans and insects.
