Abelin's Secret Fishing
Category: General Quest
Start and end NPC: Abelin
Completion target: Abelin
Quest details
Abelin in Velia says there's no better way to test the performance of a fishing rod than by comparing it to any other rod in action. Equip any fishing rod of your choice and catch Grunt and Herring.
1. Open the bag ({StringTableBind(KeyBind:Inventory)} key) and {StringTableBind(KeyBind:Attack2)} on the fishing rod to equip the fishing rod.
2. With the fishing rod equipped, move to the water and press the {StringTableBind(KeyBind:Jump)} to start fishing.
※ Quest or event fishing rods such as Lando's Fishing Rod are not acceptable.
Quest dialogue
On acceptance
Now then! It's time to test how fantastic this fishing rod is!
We mustn't let others know about this fishing rod! It'll be madness.
It only works around Velia, so go to the closest seashore
and test this fishing rod among other fishers, okay?
What's that? You don't want to wield this rod at this time?
Fine, you can use whatever fishing rod you so desire!
It'll be easier to measure the quality of this rod as well!
Do tell me if you catch any rare fish that you normally
wouldn't catch so easily! I'll even give you a reward.
While in progress
How did I get that kind of money?
There was a rich guy in Valencia who hired me for a job.
On completion
Fantastic! Now we know its true quality! That Valencian merchant wasn't fibbing at all!
Here, a reward for helping me out. But don't tell anyone else about this. Okay?
