Horio Tinya was shocked to discover that Black Crystals are being harvested from the Abandoned Iron Mine and suspects that this may be the reason why Neruda Shen hasn't responded to the Barbarian occupation.
Listen to what the Black Spirit has to say if you believe Neruda Shen is innocent,
or go to Sarma Anin of the Shroud Knights if you think Neruda Shen is guilty of these accusations.

I had no idea the Abandoned Iron Mine was a source of Black Crystals.
Now it makes sense why Neruda Shen hasn't done anything about the Barbarians.
Can't you see? Neruda Shen is the head of the largest merchant guild in Mediah,
yet he hasn't deployed a single soldier to address the Barbarian threat and drive them out!
I heard a rumor that the Barbarians gained recognition to self-govern their territory by establishing trade with Neruda Shen.
I didn't want to believe it... but now I definitely think Shen is plotting something.
He's using Sirare's prophecy to incite the Barbarians to rebel and overthrow the Bareeds dynasty!
Our only hope is to reach out to the Shroud Knights, the order of knights sworn to serve under the old Bareeds dynasty.
Listen carefully. The Shroud Knights fought against the Witch during the Three Days of Darkness.
