(The artifact resting in your pocket vibrates,
as if to remind you of its existence.)
(You think the artifact will fit right at the center of this device.)
While in progress
(You take a look at the groove,
which seems to be about the same size as the artifact.)
On completion

as strange smoke emanates from the device.)
