Quest details

Becao claims the source of the putrid smell is coming from the Dark Portal. Use the Black Scale to examine the Dark Portal. ※ If you fail to defeat the Shadow of Black Tides, you must forfeit and reaccept the quest from the Becao to receive another summon scroll. ※ You must discard the Black Scale (summon scroll) in order to reaccept the quest.

So, I was a-actually... investigating this Dark Portal, when the foul stench started to worsen and a vile beast leapt at me! It bore some 'semblance to you, Cap'n... I admit me bowels loosened a bit at the shock. Queek... That hideous creature was merciless, and gave me a sound beating before retreating back into the rift. Queek!... Cap'n, you won't tell the others about me beating , will ye? Or that me bowels might have let out the smallest of farts during it...? Cap,n? Take down that repulsive beast for me, Cap'n! If anyone can do it, it be you!
