Officer Letiff asked for your understanding since Captain Vidal has used up all his energy from the never-ending battle. He first asked you to do some scout work around the base to get yourself accustomed to the area.

Haha! Is that what Commander Vidal said? Sorry, please try to understand him. He's been stressed from the long battle. To be honest, the fort currently needs all the hands we can get, and even rookie adventurers would be appreciated. The situation is pretty dire. Even well known adventurers refrain from coming here. It's actually very fortunate for us that an adventurer as famous as you has come. But since it's your first time, you'll have to familiarize yourself with the fort first. Please go up on the tall watchtower and take a look at how the battle is progressing.
