September 24 It was staring straight into my eyes amidst the palm trees. Drool was dripping as if it had starved for days. It looked at me like I was a fresh piece of meat. There's only one bullet left in my gun. One mistake, and I was done for. It leaped towards me. Focus! When it came close, I dodged to the right and fired. The bullet struck its vital point, but it wasn't fatal. It got up slowly, let out a growl and ran away into the palm tree forest. I was in a mess. My belongings were sprawled all over the place because my bag had ripped open, and the cloak I was wearing was ripped and ragged from its claw. I used the ripped cloak and bag to wrap my belongings in a bundle. The scar it left was aching and sore, but I was thankful just to be alive.
