Since you are done with the Abandoned Iron Mine, the Black Spirit suggests you go receive your reward in Altinova.
Go to Datu Varudatu in Altinova and hand over your Shield of Sealed Magical Power to receive a Freed Magical Shield.
※ Caution: Be sure to remove any crystals that were transfused into the item before handing it over, otherwise you will lose the crystals.
※ Freed Magical Shield can be exchanged for better gear through the quest Magic Shield Exchange IV, which can be accepted after completing the Main Mediah Quest Reunion at Last.
※ Caution: If this character's Freed Magical Shield is thrown away, the character will not be able make an exchange for better gear through the quest Magic Shield Exchange IV.

On acceptance
How do you like this region? Not so hard to get used to, right?
I guess you have been quite famous in Calpheon.
Even the local people here
have started to recognize your name!
Well, let's go back to Altinova, then.
It's time for you to upgrade your sub-weapon.
