Each village has a work supervisor.
You can hire workers through them.
Use the hired workers to do tasks in your stead.
You can send them to invested nodes to harvest crops, mine, etc.

If you need help, come find me.
I will give you exactly what you need...
On completion
There is a limit to hiring workers.
You will need to provide lodging in each village
and feed the workers regularly.
However, they provide much labor for a cheap price.
