Quest details
The Mysterious Knight wishes to see proof of your valor before he will bestow Goyen's greatsword upon you. Complete his three trials then speak to him once more.
※ This quest requires all three quests from the Mysterious Knight (Quality of a Mercenary: Maturity, Quality of a Mercenary: Perseverance, Quality of a Mercenary: Defense) to be completed.
Quest dialogue
On acceptance
Few know my whereabouts. Derek sent you?
Do not answer, I know he did.
As I know why he sent you...
You seek the Greatsword of Goyen to keep his creed alive.
Well I will not permit it.
If you are a brother, you must prove it.
The valor of the Goyen Mercenaries was unrivaled,
so prove to me that you too posses such valor.
I charge you now with trials three.
Fail but one and you fail all.
But overcome and Goyen's greatsword
shall be yours, on this I swear.
While in progress
Doubt is the harbinger of failure.
Conquer your doubts and you will overcome.
On completion
Good, you have proven your valor.
Very good indeed.
As promised, I bestow upon you this weapon.
May you wield it justly and verily.
Train hard and deny not the fundamentals, and
you too shall make the might of Goyen your own.
