Quest details

To behold the true form of the Blackstar, the Eye of Desolation is required and must be sacrificed at the altar. Do as the Black Spirit says. ※ Refer to the "Caphras's Journal" knowledge to craft the Eye of Desolation. ※ If you lose the Eye of Anguish, you can obtain another one from Laura Einel of the Ash Forest. ※ If you have more than 30 quests in progress, you cannot summon the Incarnation of Corruption.

The brazier accepted the Eye of Desolation upon defeating the Incarnation of Corruption. Contrary to the wishes of Laura Einel, the only thing the Blackstar spat out was just a monster.
