Karl Verdun of Khimut Lumber Camp claims Leon considers Dragons are the victim here, and mentions something about a "Green Dragon." Talk to the Soldier on your way back to find out more.

Even though we're facing such a crisis, Leon doesn't seem to want to give up on the Dragon egg. Don't you think it's a bit strange? Why is he so adamant about protecting some egg that's only caused us so much trouble? The rest of the villagers in Duvencrune aren't of the same mind as Leon. He thinks only of the Dragon as the true victim here. Green Dragons, Black Dragons... why should I care? I've got mouths to feed first! Darn, what am I saying... Okay, okay. I'll stay away from the swamps, for now.
