Chapter 1: Fox Sisters In Yeowoo Pass, in Land of the Morning Light, there lived a pair of fox sisters. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine tails! They were Gumiho that possessed an astounding number of beautiful tails. Did they enchant Humans in order to eat them alive? Never! They were benevolent sisters who helped those in need. Ah, they did eat livers, but only those of animals. And Dokkebi livers were considered a delicacy. The older sister, Mieun, established Dalim Village in Bomnae County and used the power of the Fox Orb to make animal masks. If anyone afflicted with a fatal disease wore these masks and spent a thousand days in Yeowoo Pass, they would be permanently cured. The younger sister, Mihyun, established Hetnim Valley in Bomnae County and helped the afflicted undergo their thousand days in Yeowoo Pass. The tails of these fox sisters grew from one to nine as they spread their goodwill to the people.
