Chapter 1: Jang Iksoon the Hyungam of Dalbeol Born to a prestigious family, from a three-generation-long line of only sons, Jang Iksoon was raised with exceptional teachers and all kinds of tonics. However, his abilities hit a wall when he became a local Hyungam. Indeed, this country was fair, and hard work was needed to succeed. Iksoon's wealthy family also supported Lee Duksoo, confident that he would take Iksoon with him to Seoul. So Jang Iksoon handled the dirty work required of him with gusto. Such relationships are usually short-lived, but surprisingly, Lee Duksoo seemed to genuinely care for Jang Iksoon. This was evident in how he called him by his given name, even in public.
