Grace Lauren's escort said you can use different ingredients for alchemy if the ingredients' properties are the same. Use Weeds instead of Wild Grass to make Clear Liquid Reagent.

You learned alchemy from Ms. Grace, right?
In fact... I don't want to speak out,
but I can do some alchemy, too.
Would you like to learn something a bit different from me?
Since you're so studious, I wanted to teach you.
I'm not sure if you already know this, but alchemical ingredients
can be substituted if their properties are the same.
In the case of Clear Liquid Reagent, you can substitute
Weeds for Wild Grass.
Would you like to try making Clear Liquid Reagent, while we're on the subject?

While in progress
You can get Weeds by gathering Wild Herb
without a Hoe. It's a good method depending on the situation.
You can try Bush or Thicket instead of Wild Herb,
but I don't recommend it.
