By the time he returned with the Water of Life, an ominous axe stood where his wife had lain. It was the will of the celestial maidens to chop down the Dangsan Tree, Bari's life force. Perhaps it was divine punishment placed upon him to murder his offspring once more. Old Lady Hwajung of Ooldool Strait said that Bari became a Mudang Wraith from the curse she brought to the people. And she turned the people she cursed into Servile Wraiths. The Water of Life could be poured onto the Dangsan Tree to save Bari's soul. But in return, the most important people in Bari's life would be erased from her memories. The axe and the Water of Life... which will the traveler choose?
